Our Sports
We value sport as an integraL part of school life at Ubley.
At our Annual Sports Week in June the pupils have the opportunity to experience new sports and discover new talents. Last year a tennis coach gave all the pupils a chance to develop their ball skills and play mini tennis games. Sportsvan, joined us for two mornings to allow the pupils to try trampolining, gymnastics and volleyball. The juniors also participated in a football tournament on the Glebe field. We look forward to a another successful and action packed Sports Week this summer.
Football and netball are offered in weekly clubs throughout the year and the players have opportunities to play matches with other local schools and participate in the Annual Chew Valley Football and Netball Tournaments.
Regular expert teaching from Chew Valley teachers has offered a range of sport throughout the year including football; hockey; badmington; netball; tag rugby; cricket; basketball and tennis. Specialist teaching in dance will this year culminate in a Dance Festival at Chew Valley School.
Some children who are identified as having special talents in sport are offered places to extend their skills at specialist clubs at Chew Valley School.
