Special Educational Needs

The needs of our pupils are of the utmost importance in our school. Pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs) are quickly identified and their needs catered for as appropriate. Teaching throughout the school is differentiated to meet the needs of all and our high percentage of adult to child ratio means an abundance of high quality support is available.

Pupils may participate in a “catch up” programme if they have specific needs in literacy or numeracy. They may also have an Individual Education Plan with specific measurable targets as appropriate to the individual. Additional support and advice is sought from the education psychology service when necessary.
